Introduction
Overview
Dissidia: Final Fantasy takes it's name and theme basis from the 2009 action/fighting/RPG hybrid game for the Playstation Portable. Using the base world and actions of the game as a long-forgotten, legendary history, the MUSH builds it's own world and theme, drawing inspiration from many Final Fantasy games, but not setting any specific part of them in the MUSH. You won't have had to have played a previous Final Fantasy game, or even the PSP Dissidia game, but they'll help in getting in-jokes and easter eggs.
Mood
The mood we strive to create on Dissidia: Final Fantasy MUSH is one of a fantasy world, full of adventure, with undiscovered treasure and action just beyond the horizon. This adventure is set against the backdrop of the never-ending war between the minions of Chaos, the God of Discord, who seek to destabilize Dissidia and the warriors of Cosmos, the Goddess of Harmony, who seek to thwart Chaos' legions at every turn. Play as a heroic Paladin or a Thief — er, 'Treasure Hunter,' seeking out his fortune, or a monstrous Goblin, Yellow Jelly or Great Malboro, seeking to devastate the Tribes and return the world to Chaos' control.
Theme
The world of Dissidia has existed for untold millennia, the battleground of the endless war between Chaos, God of Discord and Cosmos, Goddess of Harmony. A never-ending cycle brought them into conflict again, and again. Until the last God War; something, then, broke the cycle, or so the legends say. The eleven Warriors of Destruction, and their dark master, were defeated by the eleven Warriors of Order. And in the aftermath of this, the world of Dissidia grew, from a battleground into a full-fledged world of it's own, drawing its essence from the Crystals that each Warrior sought in the God War. Now, Dissidia thrives on it's own, without the Gods' direct interference, but their hands are still felt throughout the world: Fiends and people with ill intent prey upon the world, seeking to disrupt the Balance from the last God War as the Chaos Legion. The Legion seeks to uncover the Crystal of Harmonic Dissonance; however, the forces of discord are held back by those of good intent, the Order of Harmony, while the world continues to grow and exist all around them. For if Chaos were to take possession of the Crystal, it would devastate the Balance and finish Chaos' original goal: the destruction of Dissidia and all of it's sibling worlds.

Super Console, and it's expansion Monster Mash, can be found at the links below, placed there by the publisher, Colin Fredericks of Valent Games. Sharing of these links is also listed under the CC Attribution Non-Commerical license, as above. The links are as follows:

While the books are freely available, there are some changes being made by the staff of Dissidia: Final Fantasy MUSH (IE: creation of equipment, adding some missing Classes, such as Paladin) and removal of some Classes we find unneccessary (such as Adventurer). Additionally, Monster Mash is being used in it's standard setup, but with Final Fantasy-specific monster families (and their upgrades) rather than those listed specifically in Monster Mash.
