In some instances, certain characters that were shown in the various Final Fantasy games are, for a variety of reasons, problematic to have as player-controlled characters on the MUSH. This is most often due to the political positions within organizations that the character may have (Gestahl Gastra, Princess Hilda), but other factors apply as well. In these instances, the staff of Dissidia: Final Fantasy MUSH has opted to make these characters into Non-Player Characters; these characters are controlled by staff for plot purposes (except in some specific circumstances). Our policies regarding staff controlling NPCs, as well as players having the capability to run NPCs for plots, is covered in News Policy/NPCs. Below is a list of NPCs, split into two categories:
- Staff Non-Player Characters: This will be a list of semi-IC characters that staff utilize as their on-game characters for staff related matters. In most instances, these characters will be Summoned beings or the Gods of Dissidia.
- Normal Non-Player Characters: This list will contain all of the characters that staff has decided to restrict to NPC status.
Each of the names in these lists will be clickable, and will have the same information as a normal character profile will. The NPC profiles, in the case of normal NPCs, will also have a timeline of events that the character has been used for on the MUSH, as well as notations of personality, background and roleplaying notes for when players portray these characters on the MUSH.
